• Ride your motorcycle or bicycle on miles and miles of paved, well-tended and quiet state and county roads.

• Ride your horse along Forest Service roads and out across country.

• Drive to mountain-top Forest Service fire lookout towers for spectacular views, friendly company, and one of the premier spots in Oregon to have a picnic.

• Step millions of years back in time with a visit to the intriguing John Day Fossil Beds to learn about woolly mammoths and sabre-toothed tigers that once roamed the region.

• Visit the Kam Wah Chung Museum in John Day, dropping in on a Chinese doctor’s business as if he left it just yesterday. Explore other regional museums as well.
